This page is a "notes in progress" page.

We are collecting ideas for improving the performance of LAMS. If you have a particular idea, feel free to note it here. When we get to do our performance tests, we can go through these notes and see if there is anything helpful.

This page will probably be deleted when LAMS 2.0 is released.

pre-fetchers

Use pre-fetchers e.g. google web accelerator. It seems apps like this work by clicking all the links on a page to begin downloading them in the background... with LAMS this might be a bit of a problem as LAMS might think the task has been completed before it actually has.
