LAMS Competence Editor
The LAMS competence editor allows Authors to create learning competencies within a learning design, and the map them to specific activities in a LAMS sequence.
Creating and Using Competencies (Authoring Environment)
To use Competencies in a LAMS sequence, the individual competencies must first be created using hte Competence Editor.
- The Competence Editor is accessed via the Tools menu.
Select Tools > Competence Editor
Here you can create individual competencies based on what the sequence sets out to achieve. This example uses the outcomes from the the NSW IPT Stage 6 Syllabus to demonstrate.
Once the Competencies have been created, you can map competencies to individual activities in the sequence.

Viewing Competencies in the Monitoring Environment
Competencies can be viewed in Monitoring by right-clicking on the activity in Sequence view and selecting View Competencies
