* To insert media onto a LAMS page, click the *Insert Media* button: !Using the FCKEditor^fck_media.png! Online HTML Editor^fck_media.png!

* There are several media types you can select:

# Click the *Insert Media* (!Using the FCKEditor^fck_media.png!) Online HTML Editor^fck_media.png!) button.
# In the properties box that appears, click *Browse Server.* \\ !Using the FCKEditor^fck_mediaBox.png|thumbnail! Online HTML Editor^fck_mediaBox.png|thumbnail!
# The FCKEditor file browser will appear. \\ !fck_browse.png|thumbnail!
** If you have previously uploaded a media file, you can select it in the main window and include it on the page.
** To upload a new file from your computer, click *Browse...* and select the file to upload. \\ The file will appear in the file browser window. \\ Click the filename to add the file.
# If necessary, you can specify the dimensions for the object, and selecting *Autoplay* means that the file will play as soon as the page loads, rather than learners having to click play.

{tip} The FCK Editor Media player automatically selects the appropriate codec for each file using inbuilt Open source codecs. There is no need to select the appropriate filetype as this is done automatically! {tip}
